We had such a wonderful day visiting the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary in Pittston, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, April 6. When we arrived, we received a warm welcome from Father Joseph Sibilano, O.S.J., who is one of several priests who resides at the seminary.
To begin our visit, Father Joe celebrated Mass in the seminary’s beautiful chapel and also prayed the novena prayer to St. Joseph Marello. (St. Joseph Marello, who was born Giuseppe Marello on December 26, 1844, in the north of Italy, at Turin, founded the Oblates of St. Joseph on March 14, 1878.)
Following Mass, Father Joe provided us with a tour of the seminary as well as an invitation to return anytime we wanted to visit.
After we left the seminary, our group stopped for lunch at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery and was treated to dining in a private room.
Our visit to the seminary capped off with a relaxing lunch with friends, truly was a peace-filled and happy day.
