It was a classic fall day to enjoy a classic fall feast for our guests who attended our annual roast beef dinner on Sunday, October 15. Now in its seventh year, Cathy Gavin and her staff from Stirna’s Restaurant generously prepared a truly delicious meal for the hundreds of people who visited our home that day.
Whether a patron enjoyed their meal as serving began at noon or ate just as the event ended at 4 p.m., each guest was treated to a piping hot plate of tender beef, mashed potatoes, gravy of the perfect consistency, carrots, rolls and butter followed by apple pie for dessert.
After the final meal was served and our team of dedicated committee members and volunteers – many of whom were from Holy Cross High School – wrapped up all of the hard work they did, the Little Sisters pulled the winning raffle tickets for more than 50 prizes. We are so grateful to the families, friends, and businesses who donated items to the raffle along with sponsorships for the dinner. Through their generosity and the support of the community, we raised over $25,000. We are so very grateful to everyone who made this possible!
