Mother’s Day is a very special day here at Holy Family Residence. We honor not only all of our Mothers but also any female figure in our lives that has touched it in some special way. Without them, our fond memories of childhood would not be the same, our morals and goals in life would not have been planted, and we would not have become who we are today. As we grow and raise our own children we instill in them the fond memories of how we were taught by these special role models.
To celebrate the important part these ladies played in our younger years and still do today, the Little Sisters hosted their annual Mother’s Day Tea on Saturday, May 13 at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of our Home.
Prior to reminiscing over high tea, the granddaughters of Jeanne Jugan Associate Anne Ruddy crowned a statue of our Blessed Mother to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Our Lady’s appearance at Fatima and for our May Crowning ceremony.
After the presentation, everyone was ever so proud to honor their mom, grandmother, aunt or sister on their very special day!
