Donna, lpn, Helen Magas and Ann Walsh, Residents enjoying ice cream sundaes together
This being the second month of our efforts to promote team work between employees and closer relationships with the Residents, we were working on being ENTHUSIASTIC. It’s hard to be enthusiastic about something you do every day, but considering that it’s a new day every day for the Residents, helps to keep the enthusiasm alive. Many little acts of enthusiasm were accomplished this month, from laughing with the Residents, making jokes in the kitchen or just energetically pushing the laundry cart down the hallway (avoiding accidents with Residents, of course).
The Sensational Sweet Stinger Ice-Cream Social on the patio just seemed the right occasion to celebrate our enthusiastic efforts. Beautiful skies and warm weather allowed for a lingering out on the patio, even when the ice cream was melted. Easy interaction between employees and Residents showed the growing family spirit that was so dear to the heart of St. Jeanne Jugan. Bob Ross had everybody enthusiastically singing. The bee hive is getting filled; we might have to come up with a second one to fill with the bees!
