Special Events with Talk by
Passionist Father Richard Burke on Monday, Feb. 18
On Monday, Feb. 18 at 4:45 p.m., the Little Sisters of the Poor will welcome the Rev. Richard Burke, C.P., of St. Ann’s Monastery and Basilica, Scranton, to Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton.
At that time, Father Burke will provide attendees with an informative talk entitled “Living Our Baptism in Lent.” He will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation following the Conference.
This event is free and open to the public.
The Little Sisters of the Poor, who have been serving the elderly poor in Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1908, work closely with staff, volunteers, and benefactors in creating a family spirit for the residents. They welcome the elderly who have limited funds and provide for their needs so they can live their last years in an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and love.
